Nynas joins UN Global Compact accelerator programmes

In 2026, Nynas is participating in two development programmes within the United Nations Global Compact: Business and Human Rights and SDG Innovation for Young Professionals.

Through these initiatives, Nynas is further integrating human rights considerations into its operations while strengthening sustainability-driven innovation. The programmes provide training, practical tools and collaboration with companies and experts across Sweden, supporting continuous improvement throughout the value chain.

Business and Human Rights

The Business and Human Rights programme supports companies in embedding respect for human rights into everyday business processes. For Nynas, the work focuses on developing a structured human rights due diligence approach across operations and supplier relationships. The programme aligns with internationally recognised frameworks, including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and strengthens ongoing efforts in responsible sourcing and transparent business conduct.

SDG Innovation for Young Professionals

The SDG Innovation programme is a challenge-based initiative aimed at developing concrete solutions that contribute to sustainability while also creating business value. Participants collaborate across industries to develop, test and refine new concepts linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Insights from the programme support Nynas’ innovation work and help identify opportunities to further reduce environmental impact and enhance customer value.

Supporting long-term sustainability

Participation in the programmes forms part of Nynas’ broader sustainability strategy. The learnings will strengthen responsible business practices, improve risk management and support innovation aligned with global sustainability priorities.

By engaging in these initiatives under the support of the UN Global Compact Network Sweden, Nynas aims to continue developing practical approaches to sustainability — both within its own operations and together with customers, suppliers and partners.
