Focus on Sustainability in Berlin

During this year's edition of CWIEME Berlin, important future-oriented projects and products will be discussed, including Nynas' unique circular transformer oil NYTRO® RR 900X.

A direct consequence of the ongoing climate transition is the rapid increase in demand for electricity. This, in turn, puts more pressure on transformers to deliver than ever before.

A central element of Nynas' R&D work is the development of new, sustainable transformer oil technologies. This is an area that Professor Thomas Norrby will shed light on in his presentation during CWIEME Berlin on 23 May, scheduled from 16:00 to 16:30 on the central stage.

In addition to Professor Norrby's presentation titled "Sustainability and Environmental Awareness: Power Transformer Oils," Nynas will also be present at the exhibition with a booth (42B12), offering visitors the opportunity to learn more about NYTRO® RR 900X, a circular transformer oil based on innovative re-refining technology.

By recovering and using end-of-life transformer oil from the grid, NYTRO® RR 900X reduces greenhouse gas emissions by at least 70% over its lifetime compared to a virgin transformer oil. Moreover, NYTRO RR 900X has undergone rigorous testing in accordance with the highest standards outlined in IEC 60296 Type A, including the newly introduced IEC stray gassing test.

CWIEME Berlin will take place from 23 to 25 May. We look forward to meeting you there!
