More sustainable solutions for utilities on display in Rome
During CIRED 2023, Nynas specialists will be present to talk about how we can support the electrical industry's ambition to transition towards a more sustainable society.
From 12 to 15 June, the 27th edition of CIRED, the International Conference & Exhibition on Electricity Distribution, will take place. This year's event is set to attract nearly 2,500 experts and over 140 exhibitors, providing a comprehensive overview of the challenges faced by the electricity distribution community.
One of the topics that has been widely discussed in the industry in recent years is the opportunities presented by alternative insulating liquids. While traditional naphthenic mineral insulating oils still offer many performance advantages, there is no doubt that alternatives such as bio-based hydrocarbons and re-refined mineral oils can provide additional value to users.
“This is an exciting and important area that holds a central position in Nynas' research and development efforts. As a result, Nynas introduced several unique products that support the industry's transition towards a more sustainable society”. says Gaia Franzolin, Marketing Director at Nynas.
“During the event in Rome our experts will provide more information about our NYTRO range of transformer fluids, including the bio-based NYTRO® BIO 300X and the circular transformer fluid NYTRO® RR 900X.” adds Franzolin.
NYTRO® BIO 300X is produced from 100% residual bio-based materials, resulting in an exceptionally low carbon footprint. This means that we can now offer utilities a more sustainable solution that combines a renewable raw material base with best-in-class performance.
NYTRO® RR 900X is manufactured using state-of-the-art re-refining technology, which allows us to take end-of-life transformer fluids and restore them to the same quality and condition as premium virgin transformer fluids. In this way, utilities can participate in the circular economy by making the best use of transformer fluids currently in the grid, collecting and converting them into new fluids that comply with the highest quality standards.
Nynas welcome visitors at CIRED booth D51 to learn more about how we can offer a range of premium-grade transformer fluids, utilizing both traditional and biogenic raw materials, as well as circular approaches. At the event, Thomas Norrby, Technical Manager ELI, will give a talk on Sustainability and Environmental Awareness on 13 June at 14:00.
