Rejuvenator
Nygen 910 is a naphthenic process oil developed by Nynas, designed specifically for use as a rejuvenator in asphalt mixtures, particularly those with high reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) content.
It helps restore aged binder properties, improving the performance and durability of recycled asphalt.
Thanks to its high solvency power, low viscosity, and excellent compatibility with aged oxidized bitumen, Nygen 910 effectively softens aged binder, disperses asphaltenes, and rebalances the maltene-asphaltene ratio. This leads to improved flexibility, fatigue resistance, and low-temperature performance.
The benefit of naphthenic mineral oil is that it restores the original chemistry and properties of aged bitumen, making it more similar to virgin bitumen.
This rejuvenation process enhances the performance of recycled bitumen, improving its workability, flexibility, and overall durability.
